Thelma Clowers (79) of Fred, Texas passed away February 15, 2021 in Beaumont, Texas. She was born on April 23, 1941 to her parents, Roe Jenkins and Maudie Peterson in Fred, Texas.
Thelma will be remembered as a devoted wife to her husband Jimmy of thirty-eight years. She was a wonderful mother to her children and provided a loving home for them. Thelma was a doting grandmother and loved the time spent with her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. Thelma enjoyed gardening and being outdoors; especially hunting and fishing.
Thelma is survived by her husband, Jimmy Clowers; her son, John Starke; her daughter, Diane Flores and husband, Juan; her son, Floyd Starke and wife, Kim; her daughter, Rhonda Freeman and husband, Wayne; her daughter, Frances Sims; her step-son, Jimmy Clowers; her granddaughter, Terry Gore; her grandson, Douglas Gore; her granddaughter Crystal Gore; her granddaughter, Donna Lynch and husband, Dustin; her granddaughter, Courtney Starke; her granddaughter, Justine Starke; her granddaughter, Autumn McClelland and husband, Dallas; her granddaughter, Ashlea Champagne and husband, Brian; her grandson, T.J. Freeman; her grandson, David Qualls and wife, Gabby; her twenty-seven great grandchildren; her thirteen great-great grandchildren; her brother, Monroe Jenkins; her brother, Hank Jenkins and wife, Eloise; her brother, Steve Harville; her many nieces and nephews; along with other loving family members and friends.
Thelma is preceded in death by her father, Roe Jenkins; her mother, Maudie Harville; her son, David Starke; her step-daughter, Julie Taylor; her step-son, John Clowers; her grandson, Steven Qualls; her sister, Addie Wilson; her sister, Ruthie Fregia; her sister, Dollie Hollyfield; her brother, Pete Jenkins; and her brother, Bud Jenkins.
A visitation will be held 5-7pm, Thursday, February 18, 2021 at Farmer Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 10am, Friday, February 19, 2021 at Farmer Funeral Home followed immediately by a graveside committal at Fred Community Cemetery.
