Tom Creekmore Obituary

Tom Creekmore Jr 90 of Silsbee passed away at home Sunday, July 6, 2025 after a fall. He was born in Wells, Texas, August 30, 1934 to the late Thomas and Annella Creekmore. Tom was second son of four brothers and one sister. He was a junior in high school when they moved to Silsbee. There he excelled in sports and caught the eye of his true love Diane James. After marrying and having four children, Tom landed a job at the local papermill. Those skills would bring Tom and his family across the globe. while in Brunswick Georgia Tom took up boxing, karate, drag racing and flying airplanes. In 1970 He bought a Piper Colt airplane just to fly the family for fun. Tom then took a job in Chile South America, where he bought horses for the family and continued his favorite sport of karate. After a few years, Tom left Chile and went to work remotely in the Philippines. There he worked hard to receive a second-degree black belt. In 1974 Tom moved his family to Algeria, Africa. He worked at the Papermill, but he and Diane continue teaching karate at their home. In 1979 Tom and Diane settled for good in Southeast Texas and eventually in Silsbee.

Preceded in death by his father, Thomas V. Creekmore Sr. and mother, Annella Hooks Creekmore brother Larry Creekmore, Jerry Creekmore, and grandson, John Derrick  

Survived by his loving wife of 71 years, Diane James Creekmore; children, Beth Nickerson and her late husband Edward "Hot shot" Nickerson, Van Creekmore, Carla Gayle Creekmore, Jayne Creekmore, Ingrid Creekmore, Juston Smith, and Paul Smith. His 11 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren; and a host of other family members and friends.
