Vance Swarthout

Doyle Vance Swarthout Jr., 68, of Silsbee passed away Sunday November 24, 2024. He was born September 24, 1956, in Silsbee, Texas to the late Doyle Vance Swarthout Sr. and Florence Partlow Swarthout.

Vance was a true outdoors man, he loved to hunt, fish, go on adventures, travel, and work on cars. He graduated from Lamar University with an associate’s degree in Diesel Mechanics. He was also a proud Eagle Scout. Vance retired from Exxon Mobil after almost 40 years and spent his time after retiring to help serve in his community and helping other retirees when needed. Vance was a loving father, brother, uncle, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by both of his parents.

Vance is survived by many beloved family members and friends.
