Virginia Helen Flanakin Baker

Virginia Helen Flanakin Baker, 89, of Silsbee, died Sunday, July 28, 2024, at Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas, in Beaumont. She was born on Wednesday, September 12, 1934, in Silsbee, to Samuel and Mary Sue (Harris) Flanakin.

Mrs. Baker was a Baptist and enjoyed playing cards and working puzzles.

She is survived by her children, John A. Griffith Jr., and his partner, Kathy York; Beth McClendon, and her husband, Bob; Linda Georgas, and her husband, Carey: grandchildren, Stacy, Brian, Phillip, William, Hannah, Lindsey, and Brenda; 11 great grandchildren; one great great grandson; sister, Betty Flanakin; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Baker is preceded in death by her husband of over 25 years, John E. Baker; her parents, and numerous siblings.
