Virginia “Tot” Faye Nelams

Virginia Faye “Tot” Nelams, 92, of Buna passed away Monday, August 8, 2022. She was born on December 22, 1929 in Buna to the late Harry Goins and Addie Johnson Goins. 

Tot was a member of Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints for many years. She was an excellent cook and loved being in the kitchen preparing meals, especially her chicken and dumplins for her family and friends. Tot was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother who loved her family dearly. She will be greatly missed. 

She is preceded in death by both parents; late husband of 60 years, Daniel David Nelams; daughter, Deidra Nelams; granddaughter, Katie Martin; sons, Doug Nelams and John Dale Nelams; sisters, Syble Cates and Johnnie DeVries; brothers, Lance Goins and Allen Goins; son-in-law, Jimmy Wiggins; best friends (nieces) Syble Midkiff and Cecil Goins. 

Tot is survived by her children, Pat Wiggins of Buna, Carolyn Lee and husband Mark of Silsbee, David Nelams and wife Shanna of Beaumont, Bernadine McBride of Louisiana, Geraldine Parker of Tennessee; grandchildren Jimmy Wiggins and wife Anne, John Wiggins, Trey Martin, Lindsey Nelams, Judith Nelams and husband Mitchell, Matthew Lee and wife Beverley, Denna Wiggins; great grandchildren, Rayni Jackson and husband Jacob, Paisely Martin, Allyssa Lee, Everleigh Martin, Alexus Lee; best friend and niece Bonnie Harrison; numerous other grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
