Wanda Yvonne Davis, age 92, passed from her earthly life to her eternal home in heaven on Tuesday, June 15, 2021. She was born in Fred, Texas, on October 3, 1928, to Ruth and Roy Hutto. In 1947, Yvonne married her one and only love, Wade Davis. They made their home in Silsbee, Texas, and she resided there for over 50 years. As a young adult, Yvonne accepted Jesus as her Savior and never wavered from her faith in Him. In 1998, she moved to Alvin, Texas, so she could be closer to family.
Yvonne was preceded in death by her husband, Wade Davis; parents, Ruth and Roy Hutto; brother, Robert Hutto; and sisters, Margaret Smart and Martha Gore.
She is survived by her daughter, Brenda McKee and husband Kenneth, of Alvin, Texas; granddaughters, Melanie Reed and husband Joel, Sonja Martinez and husband Steven, and Kristi Stroud and husband Joey; great-grandchildren, Nathan Reed and wife Laine, Aaron Reed, Joshua Martinez, Allyson Martinez, Justin Pollio, Kara Ross and husband Robert, and Andrew Stroud; brother, Douglas Hutto and wife Janice; brother-in-law, Clayton Gore; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A visitation for family and friends will be held 11 am – noon on Wednesday, June 23, at Farmer’s Funeral Home in Silsbee, Texas, with graveside services immediately following at Frank’s Branch Cemetery in Fred, Texas.
The family is thankful for the guidance and help from Hospice Care Team and for the excellent care and love given to Yvonne during the last 2 years by Kristina Dalchau and her entire staff at K’s Place Personal Care Home in Angleton, Texas.
