Wanda Sue McMillen

Wanda Sue McMillen (nee Asher) passed away surrounded by the love of her family, leaving behind a legacy of resilience, strength, and unwavering devotion to those she loved. 

Wanda is survived by her daughter, Bonnie Sue Revia, and husband Ryan Revia of Silsbee, Texas; her son, Mark McMillen of Buna, Texas; and her beloved partner of 19 years, Donald Ray Waller of Buna, Texas. She is also survived by one brother, four sisters, seven grandchildren, and one great-grandson, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will cherish her memory. 
She was preceded in death by her parents, William E. Asher and Hazel (Worley) Asher; husband, Jerry McMillen; her sons, Timothy McMillen, John McMillen, and Steven McMillen; five brothers; and three sisters. 
Wanda was a proud veteran of the United States Army, a chapter of her life that remained close to her heart. She fondly shared stories from her time serving as a file clerk at the Pentagon and often recalled marching in a parade for President John F. Kennedy. Her military service helped shape the strength, discipline, and determination that would guide her throughout her life. 
Wanda's life was one of perseverance and adaptation. She had an extraordinary ability to become exactly who she needed to be for the people she loved and the circumstances she faced. In 1998, she embraced a new beginning when she moved to Texas to help her daughter launch a business venture. Later, she found great joy in becoming the caregiver to her first and only granddaughter, a role she treasured deeply. 
Life did not always offer Wanda an easy path, but she met every challenge with courage and determination. Time and again, she overcame adversity, emerging stronger, wiser, and more resilient than before. Her wit, stories, and unique perspective on life left lasting impressions on everyone fortunate enough to know her. 
Those closest to Wanda will remember her for her strength, her sense of humor, her independence, and the countless stories she shared from a life fully lived. She leaves behind a lifetime of memories that will continue to bring smiles, laughter, and comfort to those she loved. 
Wanda will be profoundly missed, especially by her surviving children, who remained faithfully by her side until the very end. Though her absence leaves a tremendous void, her legacy lives on in the family she loved so fiercely and in the many lives she touched throughout her journey. 
The family invites all who knew and loved Wanda to remember her not only for the hardships she endured, but for the strength, grace, and determination with which she overcame them. Her story is one of courage, perseverance, and love-and it will not be forgotten
