William “Bill” Firn Johnson, of Lumberton, TX, passed away on August 2, 2025, at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont, Texas.
Bill was born on October 25, 1934, in Rogers, Arkansas, to the late Emery Firn and Nettie Belle (Daugherty) Johnson.Bill was married to Lynda Sue Foster for 64 years. He retired from Goodyear Chemical Plant in Beaumont, TX after 34 years of service. He also served in the US Army in Germany. He enjoyed fishing and hunting with his son and grandsons. He loved his Fox News with a
splash of westerns.
Bill is survived by his wife, Sue Johnson; his son, Barry Johnson and his wife Kathy; twin grandsons, Seth Johnson and his wife, Hannah; Pake Johnson and partner Gabriela Campa; brothers, Joe and wife Frances Johnson of Magnolia, Arkansas, and Tommy and wife Melba Johnson of El Dorado, Arkansas; sisters, Carilee Greer of Katy, Texas, and Ann and husband Bill Whitehead of Magnolia, Arkansas; numerous nephews, and nieces.
Bill is preceded in death by his parents, Emery Firn and Nettie Belle (Daughtery) Johnson; sisters, Rose Marie Holly; and Madalyn Johnson Goodwin; nephew, Raymond Scott Johnson.
The visitation will be at 1:00 pm on August 9, 2025, with funeral service starting at 2:00 pm at Lewis Chapel in Magnolia, Arkansas. Rev. Alan Johnson, nephew, will be officiating. Burial will follow at Hephzibah Cemetery, Emerson, Arkansas.
