Willie Dean Williford, 68 died peacefully in his home in Silsbee, Texas on May 29, 2026.
He was the 7th of eight children, born on December 12, 1957 to Master Seargent Marvin P. Williford and Carol Hunt Williford while Mr. Williford was stationed at an Air Force Base in Evreux, France.
After graduating from Deweyville High School, Willie was employed with Gerdau Ameristeel in Vidor, Texas. He went on to become a welder, supporting himself working at various Shipyards in southeast Texas.
Willie is preceded in death by both parents, Carol and Marvin Williford, two brothers Ernest Williford and Tim Courtier and a sister Paula Kirsop.
He is survived by his loving siblings, Marvin Williford Jr., Jeanette Hennigan, Gail Tabelin, Cary Courtier, Roy Williford and Lynn Bray. He will be deeply missed by a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and many dear friends who were touched by his kindness and gentle spirit throughout his life.
Willie loved to fish and spent his most memorable times on the river-at his parents’ home in Deweyville.
His legacy of quiet resilience and devotion to family remains etched in the hearts of those who knew him.
Rest easy Brother, your journey has reached its peaceful harbor. You will be deeply missed, but your spirit will forever drift upon the gentle currents of the river you loved so dearly.
