Wilma Rae (Wilburn) Hooks

Wilma Rae (Wilburn) Hooks, 89, of Silsbee passed away Monday, October 2, 2023. She was born on December 5, 1933 in Honey Island, Texas to the late Herbert S. Wilburn and Verna (Alford) Wilburn.

Wilma attended Honey Island School and graduated from Honey Island High School. She later married Raymond Hooks on May 29, 1955 and they were blessed with two children. Between Wilma and Raymond, they had five children.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Raymond; daughters, Valoyce (Hooks) Hinton, Rhonda (Hooks) Jones; and two brothers, Eugene and Marvin Wilburn.

Wilma is survived by her son, Rayland Hooks and wife Linda, Raymond Hooks and wife Mona; daughter, Ouida O’Hair; numerous grandchildren; great grandchildren; great great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; special friends, Billy Jones and Vivian Young; and a host of other family members and friends.
