Wilma Nadine (Fazende) Johnson

Wilma Nadine Fazende Johnson, 86, passed away Thursday, July 15, 2021. She was born January 13, 1935 in Houston Texas to the late Harvey and Mildred Fazende. She grew up in the Heights area of Houston and attended Jefferson Davis High School. 

Wilma spent most of her early years in Houston and Southeast Texas before moving to Hope, Arkansas in the 80’s. She married her husband, Elton Brady Johnson Sr. in 1955 and they were together 36 years before his death in 1991. Wilma was a homemaker for most of her life. She was a protective mother who was always making sure her kids were well taken care of. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, and keeping a spotless house. Wilma was a mother of three children, a Grandma to eight grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. Following her service in Silsbee, she will be brought back to Arkansas to be laid to rest near her mother at Union Cemetery in Bodcaw. Wilma was truly loved by her family and will be deeply missed.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her late husband.

Wilma is survived by her children, Elton Brady Johnson Jr. and wife Sharon, Wallace Jay Johnson and wife Tina, Kimberly Kay Johnson; sister, Terry Annette Fazende Rogers; grandchildren, Elton Brady Johnson III, Kellie Bois and husband Joshua, Sheri Johnson, Kristal Reeves and husband Dustin, Susan Conn and husband Clint, Jamie Johnson, Christopher Lewis and wife Heather, Austin Chandler Robertson; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.

Funeral Services will be held at 12PM Monday, July 19, 2021 at Farmer Funeral Home. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service from 10AM-12PM. A graveside service will be held at Union Cemetery in Bodcaw Arkansas at 2PM Tuesday, July 20, 2021.
