Yvonne Gore Sanford, 74, of Tomball, TX was called to her heavenly home on Saturday, October 17th. She was born on August 12, 1946 in Silsbee, TX to Jay and Helen (McGallion) Gore. She attended Silsbee schools and was a Tigerette her senior year.
She attended cosmetology school and held various jobs over the years, but her favorite was stay-at-home mom to her 3 children.
She married Don Sanford in 1979 and they were married for 28 years.
She was a devoted Christ-follower often active in her church and enjoyed spending time with her family and best friend Betty Gaston. She also enjoyed traveling, painting, and cooking chicken-n-dumplin’s, which are fondly remembered by her family.
Preceded in death by her parents and husband, she is survived by her son Don Lewis, Jr. and daughter-in-law Jani, daughter Becky Gazaway and son-in-law Chuck, son Doug Lewis and daughter-in-law Angie, grandchildren Zachary Lewis, Jason Gazaway, Jenna Gazaway, and Ty Gazaway.
Known as “Bonbon” to her grandchildren, and “Mom” to her kids, she will be dearly missed, but we are comforted knowing that she is at peace and whole again with her heavenly Father.
Please join us in celebrating her life. Visitation with be held on Friday, October 23rd from 5:00-7:00 pm at Farmer’s Funeral Home in Silsbee. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, October 24th, at Farmer’s Funeral Home followed by graveside services at Cunningham Cemetery in North Hardin County.
